Westmoreland White Milk Glass Candy Dish Compote Pedestal Stand is marked on the bottom with WG, in great condition, measures about 7-1/2 inches tall, without lid about 4-1/4 inch tall, and about 5-1/8 inch wide. The milk glass compote is heavy pressed, has the swirl and ball pattern which is #1842, this comes from the 1940s era, and notice how the swirls go 1 way on the lid, and on the body or bowl they go the other way. See the beaded design on rim of lid, rim of dish, and the neck of the pedestal stand too. The handle comes to a point, and you can also see a light swirl design in this pointed knob too. Very clean, shiny, and white piece inside, and out. Seen 2 small pin point minor specks that are brown, and maybe from rubbing against something. Very small, but wanted it noted. This is also a discontinued piece. Perfect vintage piece to use displaying some of your candies, mints, and nuts. Maybe add some min bulbs for fesitivies, use as a candle holder, catch all for change or jeweley or keys, in the bathroom with some soaps or sweet smelling bath salts, and it is an endless list of possibilities.
